Recipe notes:
Smoked paprika: Don't use regular paprika in this recipe. Make sure you're using smoked paprika. It's the star of the show and super flavorful.
Variations: Add a little cayenne pepper to your seasonings if you like spicy food! For a sweeter burger, add a teaspoon of brown sugar.
Optional: For extra juicy burgers, try mixing a tablespoon of mayonnaise & Worcestershire sauce into your ground beef before making patties.
Scaling up: Want to make a bulk batch of seasoning to have on hand throughout the summer? Use these measurements: 6 tablespoons smoked paprika, 4 tablespoons garlic powder, 2 tablespoons onion powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper. Store in a lidded jar in a cool area and use all season long.
Add seasonings to a bowl and whisk well until combined.
1 & ½ teaspoons smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Mix seasonings into ground beef before making patties or sprinkle it over pre-made patties, then grill!
This recipe makes enough for 1 pound of ground beef or four, 4oz burgers. Use approximately ¾ teaspoon per burger.
