Equipment

  • 1 Large baking sheet *Mine is 13x17 inches
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 2 20oz bags chocolate chips *See note below
  • ½ cup chopped pecans *Or walnuts, peanuts, pretzels
  • Halloween sprinkles *Choose your favorites!

Recipe notes:

Chocolate chips: I like to use dark or semi-sweet, but use whatever you prefer! Even white chocolate chips will work fine.

Instructions

  • Place chocolate chips in a large, dry, microwave safe bowl. Water droplets can cause chocolate to seize up so be sure your bowl is bone dry!
  • Microwave chips in 30 second intervals, on high power, stirring in-between. Chocolate can burn in the microwave so it's important to work slowly and stir often. This should take 3-5 minutes total depending on your microwave.
  • Stir chopped pecans into chocolate once fully melted.
  • Spread mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet and decorate! Transfer sheet to the refrigerator and chill bark for 20-30 minutes.
  • Cut bark into squares or break it apart with your hands for a more rustic look. Enjoy!

Storage:

  • Refrigerate bark in an airtight container or Ziploc bag for up to 2 weeks.
