Why I Make It On Repeat
Minimal ingredients: I've basically always got homemade aioli ingredients on hand. It's just mayo, sriracha, lime juice and an optional pinch of salt.
Quick quick quick: No joke - you can make this sauce in 5 minutes flat.
Goes with everything! Sriracha sauce is sort of an all-purpose condiment that pairs perfectly with a myriad of foods.
Control spice level: Homemade sriracha aioli gives you control over ingredient ratios. Add more or less chili sauce depending on your spice preference.
What You'll Need:
- Mayo: I like using Kewpie (which is Japanese style mayonnaise). But any type will do. You can even use light mayo.
- Sriracha: Hot chili sauce made of red jalapeño pepper paste.
- Lime juice: I highly recommend squeezing fresh juice from whole limes! 🍋🟩You can also substitute lemon juice.
- Salt: A pinch of salt creates a more well-rounded flavor profile, though you can leave it out if preferred.

Stacey's Top Tip
How spicy is sriracha sauce? Honestly, it's as hot as you want it to be! More sriracha = more heat. I like 4 teaspoons of sriracha with a half cup of mayo. If you're super sensitive to spice level, you can add less then taste test and adjust as needed.
Serving Suggestions
Dip: Use this spicy condiment as as a dip for onion rings, sweet potato fries, crab cakes, roasted veggies, salmon bites or sushi!
Drizzle: Fish tacos and poke bowls taste extra incredible with a splatter of sriracha sauce.
Dressing: Add some heat to simple garden salad and use your sauce as a yummy dressing.
