    Extra Low-Effort Sides

Normally I make sloppy joes because I'm low on time. If I need something super fast and easy for dinner, sides need to fit the same bill. That means my sides are often store-bought or very low prep! I'm talking:

    • Pickle spears: Crunchy and delicious.
    • Cut veggies & dip: Baby carrots, celery, broccoli, peppers and ranch dip.
    • Grocery store salad kit: Everyone has their favorite salad kit. Mine is the Dole brand Endless Summer Salad.
    • Canned green beans: Dump and heat. A super easy veggie side option.
    • Potato chips: Classic, ruffles or salt and vinegar are my go-tos.
    • Frozen french fries: Sweet potato fries, regular fries, or even tater tots!

    Toppings

You can absolutely enjoy your sloppy joes plain! If you want to add any toppings I'd recommend a slice of cheddar cheese, coleslaw or pickle chips. You can also layer some crispy potato chips right into your sandwich.

    Potatoes

    Twice Baked Potatoes
Both regular baked potatoes or twice baked potatoes are the perfect pairing for sloppy joes. Enjoy your potatoes as a side or top them with sweet and tangy sloppy joe mix rather than using it to make sandwiches!
